Informative Articles And Provoking Text

It can be useful to read and relate to websites that bring about thoughts and opinion on issues and perceptions that help or hinder in our daily lives.

Many websites offer valuable information we can use to help us; while others offer to entertain, still others to persuade or dissuade our thoughts and beliefs. They may be informative, instructive or offer services, opinion and other things like entertainment and art or culture; it’s endless. Some are more attuned to activities of how or why we think and behave the way we do, questioning in a more philosophic or humanitarian way. In this case the focus is not necessarily about mainstream bulletins or headlines that fleetingly come across our paths, rampantly demanding nay stealing our attention. These usually can be found just about anywhere and are about as valuable as litter in the streets.

Issues and information continually surface everywhere and arise daily in our world. They will always change and maintain varying degrees of importance. ‘Graspingthoughts’ looks at how we perceive them and how they may affect our lives. Here is a place where ideas and helpful advice is welcomed and any appropriate input that is deemed to be of useful insight is welcomed.

While browsing websites I began to notice two significant factors that are in some kind of balance or irregularity. Is the site predominantly advertising links? Albeit some are well disguised until you follow it through to the end. Perhaps it is information based with more useful and desirable links that further one’s quest to know more about something.

Every site I view that maintains the use of links has a certain ratio of juggling these two attributes. I have become more aware of the factors especially when my quest happens to be for more information rather than instructions to reach for my credit card numbers.

Creative Visualization : 10/10 Positive Visualization Technique

September 29, 2009 by admin

Counting your blessings each day is essential for positive growth.  God/Source/Universe is happy to provide for you as long as you are happy about what you already have.  If you are dissatisfied with your current situation, that energy muddles up your intentions.  The more dissatisfied you are, the more you get what dissatisfies you.

Remember, this is an attraction-based universe.  The happier you are about what you already have, the more you get what makes you happy.

The 10/10 Visualization Process

Make a list of 10 things you love about your life, your job, your product, the opportunities you have, and your customers.  Add anything that works well in your life, anything you like, and all the people you are happy about having in your life. Then add anything you are thankful for.

Make a list of 10 things you want to accomplish: your goals, dreams, visions, and aspirations in life.

Once you have the lists, you can begin to do your discipline.  Every morning find a comfortable place to sit with your back straight and feet on the ground. Before you start, take a moment to review both lists.  Then, close your eyes and take 10 deep breaths.  Hold each breath as long as you can.

Then blow it out slowly.  (I call these the connector breaths. You are getting connected to your higher self.  Tapping into the universal consciousness.  If you feel light-headed, good!  See if you can get even more light-headed next time.  It simply means you are going into deeper states of consciousness.)

Now, that you are in a very powerful, conscious state, mentally review your list of everything that is good, that you’re happy about, etc.  Dwell on each item.  Get really connected with how great it is to have this in your life.  Let the emotions of gratitude well up inside of you and overflow.  It’s okay to cry tears of joy.  In fact, that’s the objective.

Once you have spent some time truly appreciating your life mentally, shift to your list of things you want to accomplish.  But keep the feeling of gratitude.  First think about how amazing your life is that you have these kinds of objectives.

Then start being thankful for each item as if it had already come true, or was already happening or occurring right now.  Think about it the same way you thought about the first list.  Let your imagination run away with you.

-Additional Thoughts-

One of the key elements to this visualization is emotionalizing.  By goosing up the desire, you turbo-boost the results you achieve.  During each 10/10 visualization, work to charge your emotions with gratitude and get as excited as you can about how great your life is.

Then transfer that same excitement to your desired outcomes and dreams.  Get excited as if your dreams are coming true right now.  You have hit maximum power when you are moved to tears of joy for the opportunities the universe has provided you.

Note that you won’t always be able to create the feelings you want, so don’t make yourself “wrong” when it doesn’t get as intense as it had before.  Keep doing the 10/10 visualization and your emotions will eventually ramp up.

This discipline is simple, yet, like all disciplines, you must structure your life so this happens daily.  I always recommend doing this in the morning before you get ready for your day.

If you exercise in the morning, do this immediately afterward for best results.  Sit in a quiet place and spend 10 minutes meditating.  (For other meditations you can lie down, but not this one.)

Sit up straight in a chair with your eyes closed and take your ten deep breaths.  You want to be consciously in control of your mental process.

Five minutes of visualizing everything you are grateful for keeps those things persisting in your life.  Five minutes of seeing your outcomes, goals, visions and dreams as if they are happening right now will trigger the universe to have all your dreams come true.  No kidding!

Opportunities – Creating Opportunities For Yourself

September 29, 2009 by admin

Since each one of us is unique, we must strive to excel in whatever we do. We need to concentrate on that which is most important in our life at present. Working hard and smart is the only thing that can shape one’s destiny.

In life you must create opportunities for yourself. Do not wait for opportunities to find you but rather seek and identify them. Chances will never come but should be conjured from challenges. Behind every problem lies a solution hence an opportunity waiting to be seized. If you really have a desire to excel then you will succeed because necessity is the mother of invention.

Our creativity in imagination should be unlimited and one should always be creative and patient in order to grab any opportunities that may arise. Great ideas come into the world as gently as doves. One man said that, “If you keep your eyes and ears wide open, one day a butterfly will land on your palm”.

In a world full of competition for scarce resources and chances, adaptability and flexibility is needed in identifying chances. In order to fully fit in society, one is supposed to fully use his creative imagination to find a way to earn his living and survive through this rapidly changing time.

It is never too late to make the most of who you are. Actually, it is not over till its over. For those who are focused, goal oriented and purposeful, success comes their way ultimately but for those who are disillusioned and lazy, failure is a constant companion.

Navigating the World of Differing Opinions For Real-World Success

September 28, 2009 by admin

What you perceive is what you experience as real.  It’s true, I don’t deny the existence of objective reality, but I have repeatedly found that people interpret their experiences differently, and draw radically different conclusions from the same set of circumstances.

For example, someone might go to a social occasion and see it as a waste of time that could be better spent doing something “productive.”  At the same time, that person’s spouse may experience the same event as an opportunity to meet new people and cultivate important contacts. The important thing to keep in mind is that from each point of view both individuals are correct in their assessments of the situation.  Perhaps even more importantly, neither is wrong.

Differing perceptions are to blame for so many of life’s unending arguments about who’s right and who’s wrong.  The feelings and logic we experience are so real and concrete, it is hard to imagine that anyone could experience a situation so differently.  Yet, as we all know, the right vs. wrong approach serves no purpose other than to create conflict and push people apart.

Real success in life comes from the ability to understand differing perceptions.  Why is this important?  The answer is simple: how you perceive the world will guide your life by impacting what you think is important, i.e., your values and your interests.

Your success in life is driven by doing what you do best, and what you do best is supported by a set of natural skills and talents. This can only be accomplished when you understand and accept how you perceive the world and acknowledge that others perceive it differently than you do.

This attitude allows you to discover and claim your natural skills and talents, while at the same time allowing others to do the same thing.

  1. How does your reaction to the situation differ?  In what ways was it the same?

You will discover that there are things you perceive that others do not, and vice versa.  Going through the thought process of another person will give you some great insight into how the world is perceived by others.  Such a discussion will also lead you to a greater understanding of your own perceptual style and give you keys to understanding the perceptual style of others.

5 Powerful Tips to Improve Teen Self Esteem

September 27, 2009 by admin

Have you ever had low self-esteem and didn’t know how to snap out of it? Have you ever wondered, how can I just flip the switch on, and change my mood? Has someone ever hurt your feelings and their words make you feel insecure about who you are? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then please continue reading and find out the 5 powerful tips to improve your self-esteem.

1. Appreciate yourself: This is where you are thankful for your gifts and talents. There are many gifts that you have that other teens do not have and it is time to appreciate that you have them. For example, I am a great reader or I am a great listener or I am a great helper, etc.

2. Avoid being Judgmental towards others: At times teens are notorious for gossiping and talking about others. Stop this habit, for this shows your insecurity about yourself and it only makes you feel worse afterwards. For example, she looks so fat in that, or he is not a good wrestler, etc.

3. Don’t Compare Yourself to anyone else: This only makes you think of everything you don’t have and makes your self-esteem decrease. You’re a unique person, so why are you comparing yourself, just be you and be happy with you. For example, why does she get a car at 16 and I have to wait 2 more years? This will make you sad and resentful of your life, instead of appreciating that some people never get a car, that they ride the bus, get a taxi, or walk their whole lives.

4. Make a few goals that you can reach and work towards it: Set some goals up for yourself, like doing your homework by 9 p.m. Another example would be no watching TV, until the weekend. Set up goals to help you accomplish some things you want to get done. This is a big booster in Self-Esteem.

5. Make a Contribution: Do something to help others and you will feel great. Do it for the sake of the Creator, and you will get rewarded in so many ways, it’s unbelievable. For example, help a friend with their studies; take care of your siblings, washing the dishes, volunteer for something, etc.

Self Improvement Advice That Will Determine Your Success

September 26, 2009 by admin

Did you know that you are capable of achieving more than you already have? You should never feel content with what you have attained or assume that you have already reached your climax such that you cease striving to push yourself to achieve more. Do not settle for average, instead set new standards and goals for yourself and aim higher.

They say the sky is the limit. Therefore, it is your obligation to do your very best and bring out your potential as you pursue success. The ability to make good use of your time is the key to utilizing your gifts to the maximum. It is sad to note that this life is full of starters but very few finishers. Many people give up alone the way due to distractions and time-wasting thus fail to reach their intended destiny.

It is said that those who make the best use of their time have none to spare. Normally, they do not have time for things that do not add value to their lives but instead concentrate on their main business, which is reaching for success. Since hard work goes hand in hand with time management, the most advisable way to make use of your time is to shed off negative attitude towards work. Make your work interesting and you will always love doing it.

Beside, loving your work, you should learn to be unique and principled in your own right. Be a testimony to others without saying a word. Realize that people will value you according to the respect you have accorded yourself. This way your actions and life shall be an example to others.

How to increase IQ? Look for the science and use your critical thinking

September 25, 2009 by admin

How to increase IQ? Look for the science and use your critical thinking.

Can you identify with any of these three scenarios? 1. You are a student preparing for a college admissions test. 2. You have graduated from college and are faced with the prospect of having to take a challenging job aptitude test to be interviewed for a competitive job. 3. You are a professional dealing with the pressures of a demanding career who feels the need to sharpen his cognitive performance. The common element in these scenarios? A pressing need for a high level of intelligence. You go to the Web for help and Google the keyword phrase: ‘how to increase IQ?’ The top ranking site advises the following: watch less TV, read more, use your nose and take a whiff of rosemary, listen to music with a good rhythm and beat, eat carbohydrates and proteins and believe in yourself because “if you believe you are more intelligent, you become more intelligent.” Site number two on the list advises you to inhale the scent of rosemary, write, listen to Mozart, speed read, talk more, do something you enjoy, and – once again – “believe you are smarter, and you’ll become smarter.” Other sites on the first page of your search offer similar advice.

Although these recommendations may sound reasonable, the reality is that they are not based on fact. As a cognitive neuroscientist with expertise in the science of IQ and methods to increase intelligence, I have made it a personal mission to increase awareness about misinformation about intelligence on the web. Smelling rosemary does not improve your intelligence. Nor does listening to music, nor eating more protein.  Of course eating protein is important for brain function just as it is vital for the functioning of every organ in the body, but eating MORE protein doesn’t help your IQ. Confidence and belief in yourself is important for taking intelligence tests because anxiety can impair performance, but increasing your self-belief doesn’t make you more intelligent. And the same goes for reading, writing or talking, nor doing something you enjoy, nor watching less TV.

So what advice can I give you if you have a need to improve intelligence and increase IQ and want to know what to do about it? Start off your inquiries with a skeptical attitude and always look carefully for the science that backs up a claim. Consider adopting the following information processing strategies.

Five strategies to help you steer clear ‘how to increase IQ’ misinformation.

1. Recommendations need to be backed up by facts. Be suspicious of personal recommendations where there is nothing else to corroborate them. Many ‘IQ improving’ methods are promoted with a wealth of user recommendations to create a wave of enthusiasm and self belief – and the intention is that you will get caught up in this and spread the word. Recommendations grab our attention and can appear persuasive and trustworthy. But they can mislead us. How can you tell that the recommendations are genuine and not made up? And many recommendations are simply the result of an uncritical positive thinking. Recommendations can of course be a good source of information in your investigation – but only after you are convinced by the hard facts underlying someone’s ‘increase IQ’ claims. And what substantiates those facts? The answer is science.

2. A scientific journal article for every claim. Always ask yourself: Where is the scientific research  article – published in a reputable journal – that an ‘increase your intelligence’ claim is based on? Where are the references to the research articles on the site? Where – for instance – is the journal article that demonstrates scientifically that Mozart makes you smarter? Where is the research paper that demonstrates that smelling Rosemary gives you an IQ increase? They don’t exist. It’s usually pretty obvious if a claim is based on published research. Take the time to look at the references. If there is no reputable journal article backing up an IQ related claim, then don’t trust it.

3. Who is the author and what are his or her credentials? Take a good look at who is responsible for promising ways to ‘increase IQ’ or ‘improve intelligence’.  Is the information written anonymously or by someone who is prepared to put their name to it? And is the author a qualified cognitive psychologist, or neuroscientist – working at a reputable university, with a PhD? If the author is not a professional scientist – not an expert – why trust the claims he or she makes?

4. Intelligence, or something else? Does the technique improve intelligence specifically or some other cognitive skill – like attention, or memory for a list of words, or the ability to do arithmetic? There are lots of ‘brain training’ exercises on the market that improve performance on the task that is practiced – but not intelligence which can be applied to any task or any problem. Intelligence is very hard to change. You cannot ‘practice’ getting smarter, like you can practice to getting better at a Nintendo game. IQ test scores benefit from practice a little it’s true – but this doesn’t mean that the intelligence they are designed to measure increases as well. It doesn’t.

5. Self belief is a double edged sword. The more you believe you are intelligent as a result of some technique that has been promised to increase IQ, the less critical you may become in the face of evidence that your IQ has not changed. Without being aware of it, you may be constantly looking for signs of your improved intelligence, ignoring the counter evidence. Psychologists call this the ‘confirmation bias’ and we are all subject to it. Unchecked positive thinking can distort your objectivity, and charlatans can get away with selling you something that doesn’t deliver on its promises. Don’t get caught up in a wave of enthusiasm and lose your critical thinking. Yes – positivity, confidence and a ‘can do’ attitude is very important for cognitive performance, but it is not effective in itself for improving IQ. You need a lasting change in your brain circuitry to actually increase your intelligence, not positive thinking.

Conclusion.

With a pressing need to improve something as empowering as your intelligence ensure that you find information that is accurate and – if you are looking for them – brain training exercises and brain supplements that can be scientifically proven to work. Take the time to research the topic with a skeptical attitude. Value scientific facts over gushing recommendations, look for reputable journal articles that back up the claims, be skeptical if the author is not a brain scientist or psychologist, and try to determine what  cognitive skill exactly a recommended technique is aiming to improve.

This is your favor to the one fighting you, and so how will it be to the one serving you amorously? (YAHYA IBN MOAZ P.373) Oh, my god! I possess nothing more than a thread bare coarse carpet of the wealth, yet I will ignore and bestow it if one asks me and I’m even needy. So, how will you ignore your thousand favors of the miserable servants, and you are needy of nothing? (YAHYA IBN MOAZ P.373) And it is said: oh, my God! Your works do not resemble anyone’s, as you are yourself different from the others. Every one loves the other, wants his/her all comforts. This is while every one you love is put in to all calamities. (YAHYA IBN MOAZ P.373-374) Oh, my god! Give the infidel what ever you give me in the world and give the believer whatever you will give me of the futurity, since I am satisfied by your cite and meet in the world and futurity, respectively. (YAHYA IBN MOAZ P.373-374) Your meeting is the sweetest donations in my hear, your mentioning the most pleasant speech on this guiltful’s tongue, and the most valuable time of this miserable servant is the chance to get your face. (YAHYA IBN MOAZ P.373-374) Oh, my God! I did nothing good to enter the paradise and don’t have the hell endurance power too, Now, it’s your favor to judge on it. Tomorrow, if they ask me what H have brought? I say: Oh, my God! I have brought sinfulness, impurity and a world of shame to you! I beg you to remove my sins, forgive me and do not ask me more. (YAHYA IBN MOAZ P. 375) The righteous go into paradise and the evil in to hell. But, what about the generous they are neither placed in the world nor futurity? (ABUL ABBAS GHASAB P.644) He was saying on pulpit someday: God and God and God! Some one asked him: oh, moon! What is God? I don’t know, he answered. Why do you say something you don’t know? What can I do I don’t say it? (ABU ALI OTTAGH P.648) Every one leaving the illegal saves himself of the hell. Every one leaving the suspicious, reaches to paradise and every one leaving extravagance, will find God. (ABU ALI OTTAGH P.648) A gentleman said last night: Ah! So, the earth and heaven all burnt (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.688) The dead say: God and bread, and still some say bread and God. However I say just god, without bread water and every other thing. (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.687) Oh, my God! Do not place me in a position to say people and right or you and I, but in a one, there is nothing but you all (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.688) Oh, my God! My limbs paining, you will cure them. But, who will cure me you hurt? (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.689) The most high brought and took all the prophets and the saint in thirst (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.697). Whatever you give of the things God has created to the one fond of world, will not be satisfied. There are three degrees often-ultimate servants to God; one is standing on visit to say Allah, the other is saying Allah unconsciously and the third one is to say Allah mutually. (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.705). The first step is to say just God and nothing else the second step is love and the third one is burn (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.707). Learned man got the science, ascetic person got asceticism and worshipper got the servitude and went by these before his sight and you, choose purity and go there of to his sight, since he is pure too. ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI Every one fell in love, found God and every one found God forgot himself. (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.708). This is neither the way tongue confesses to, nor the sight seeing neither him, nor recognition knowing him all is of his and soul is in his command. Here is the sheer God’s role and nothing else. (ABUL HASAN KHERGHANI P.709). I hate the God getting satisfied with my worship and angry at my sins, since he is himself in my hands to what I will do. Friends are friends and enemies are enemies in eternity. (ABUBAKR VASETI P.744) Be careful not to be proud of his worship pleasure and sweetness which is it self the deadly poison. (ABUBAKR VASETI P.745) Goodness of the world and futurity is just one hour in patience. (JAFAR KHELDI P.753) Narration 1 A man asked sheikh: How many ways are there from the people to god? Sheikh replied: There are as many ways as the total number of the creatures to god however, none of them is better, closer and more appropriate than the one keeping the people in comfort. We choose this way and recommend it to all. Narration 2 Sheikh said: A bee saw an ant taking a seed of wheat to its house, being pressed and tired by the people’s feet trod on. The bee said to ant why you take your self so much trouble and difficulty taking such a small seed. Come to see how easily I eat and take myself food without any hardships so, it took the ant to butchery where there was a piece of meat hung on. The bee flew and sitting on the meat, ate fully and picked up a piece of it to take when the butcher reached in the nick of time and suddenly made it half with a knife It fell down and the ant, coming over it, began to pull its leg to take bee. Doing this, the ant talked to it self: every one sitting where he wants, will be killed in a way he doesn’t want. Narration 3 In a gathering, sheikh said someday: we sought God for long time. We found him every now and then now we seek ourselves, but do not find anything. We are all of God and he is every thing.

Self improvement advice

This is not just a theory, either; scientists proved it well over three decades ago. They took two perfectly synchronised atomic clocks, one was kept stationary; the other was sent off flying around the world on a passenger jet airliner. When the two clocks were compared after the flight, the clock on the jet airliner was slower than that of the clock which had remained on the ground.

The popular misconception is that you have to be at, or close to the speed of light, for the time dilation effect to be experienced. But Einstein predicted only that the faster you travelled, the more noticeable the effect would be. This 1970’s experiment proved that any acceleration will cause a relative slowing of time.

What about travelling back in time, surely if we can travel forwards in time, then this must be considered just as possible. There are those who object to the theory of travelling backwards in time, their argument being if this was in fact possible; someone or something would surely have travelled back from the future by now. That is a reasonable objection; Einstein’s theories do not rule this out, but it is certainly far more difficult than travelling forwards in time.

Dr Ronald Mallet however, is convinced that the ability to travel backwards in time could be a reality within ten years. This theory is explained in his book, The Time Traveller.

Admittedly, we may not be sending objects or people back in time; we may be limited to information. But that would be hugely significant. In effect, he says that we would be making an early warning device, foretelling us of problems and disasters from the future that we could correct in the past, by taking or not taking certain steps and a little self-improvement advice..

Dr Mallet asserts that, just as speed affects time, so does gravity. He proposes an experiment to use light to control gravity, thus twisting time into a loop. With sufficient funding, he believes we could be seeing the effect of time loops within a single decade.

Of course, the funding is a problem. Dr Mallet requires around £120,000 to build the experiment in order to test the theory. Unfortunately he cannot convince any would be investors to part with their hard earned cash. Would a change in approach yield a more positive result?

Whilst a full blown transmitter and receiver experiment would most certainly prove or disprove this theory, all we really need to build is a receiver, in the hope that someone from the future will build a compatible transmitter.

Maybe we could all learn something from all of this. We are all tempted to focus on the really big projects, even though the scale and cost implications may mean the project never comes to fruition.

What we should be focusing on are the smaller, more manageable projects.

With property, and the stocks and shares markets currently in freefall, manufacturing industries in rapid decline, maybe now is that perfect time to look at the smaller picture. The home based business industry in complete contrast is going through a boom period. There are some very exciting and lucrative small start business opportunities out there, with minimal initial start-up investment requirements. With a small amount of re-training, coaching and self-improvement advice; any budding entrepreneurs amongst us, have the perfect opportunity to turn a current day small project into a future thriving business. The Wrong Time To Date

There are many times when to avoid dating. Dating after all should be
entered as a fresh start without baggage.
One should enter the dating scene only when the time is right. However many
date during the wrong time and should be avoided. Gabby Love at http://www.100earningtips.com

Therefore offers many valuables areas of helpful observations.

Many seek the dating scene when they are feeling sad, down and lonely. The
overall mood is that of being a needy person. Effects of being needy can
result in:
1. Sound decisions can’t be made while going through a painful and
emotional time in ones life.

2. Seeking another person to make you feel whole.

3. Not being able to focus objectively of what the date can offer.

4. Rushing to date makes your overall personal and emotional well being
worse.

Elements of the wrong time to date are:

A. One should definitely avoid dating when there is a death to someone close
like a parent, best friend, pet, etc. Using another person as a “branch” to cling to is definitely an emotional drain. Time alone to heal emotionally should be followed.

B. Losing ones job is definitely not a time to date. Get a new job first
should be the main objective.

C. Being depressed is definitely the wrong time to date but yet many do. A
depressed person definitely taxes the emotional resources of the potential
date. One should seek a therapist, not a date while being depressed.

D. Breaking up with someone and then jumping into the dating scene is
definitely the wrong time. Don’t bring the emotional baggage from the past
into a new date.

Dating during the wrong time can result in one of the worst dating
experience period. One should enter the dating scene problem and “baggage”
free. If experiencing any of the above areas, then just step back and take
some personal quality time.
